Wildlife Portals XR is a set of five WebXR portals for ROM After Dark at the Royal Ontario Museum. Stations through the galleries each hold a round image target. Point a phone at it and a portal opens into the home of a relative: deer in an autumn forest, an eagle over a mountain lake, a lynx in deep snow, a polar bear on sea ice, salmon in a cold river.

Each portal sits beside the museum's own specimens, so the living world and the collection face each other across the glass.
