Cover artwork for the Literacy Issue of Root & STEM, the print and online magazine published by the Pinnguaq Association to support K to 12 educators teaching STEAM and digital skills across Canada. A tree built from syllabics grows out of a book floating in the sky. Scanning the cover activates an AR layer: the title becomes a wampum belt and the tree lifts off the page in 3D. The cover holds written language, land knowledge, and code as one practice.
