Intertribal is a mixed media mural at Hart House, University of Toronto, depicting the Na-Me-Res Traditional Pow Wow at Fort York against the Toronto skyline. Dancers move in regalia beneath Migizi, the eagle, who watches over the gathering. Scanning a QR code activates the augmented reality layer, and the eagle lifts out of the mural and circles the room. An intertribal is the dance that welcomes everyone into the circle regardless of nation or background. The mural extends the same invitation.
