Ancestral Intelligence is a living pictograph, created for the UPHERE Festival in Sudbury and one of the first works in the practice built in TouchDesigner. The piece analyzes the land and renders what it finds as a moving pictograph, a visualization of the knowledge Indigenous communities carry of the places they inhabit. That knowledge comes from the ones who came before us, passed down through generations, and it originates in the land itself. The work holds a dream for technology: that it can be used to better understand the world around us instead of dividing us from it.
